French Polynesia authorities have reported a Covid-19 outbreak after another seven people tested positive. Five cases were identified as imported and two as local contacts.

Quarantine
According to the local Health ministry recommendations, arriving tourists and locals coming back home will have to spend a six-days quarantine in Tahiti or Moorea before travelling to other islands.

New Covid case
Last weekend, an American woman – tested positive on the Paul Gauguin cruise ship – was the first Covid-19 case detected in French Polynesia since July 15, when the local government abolished the quarantine obligation for arriving passengers. The other 339 people on board tested negative.
