Since March 6, 422 Covid-19 positive cases have been identified in the archipelago. 412 on Wallis island and 10 on Futuna island, located between Wallis and Fiji. Four of them were lethal.

Eight people have been medevacuated to New Caledonia and 46,9% of the vaccineable population received the first injection, the local authorities said on April, 6.

The general confinement has been extented until Thursday, April 8, at midnight. The scientific commitee will meet again on that day to decide, after of these additional 48 hours, on the measures to be taken for the territory of Wallis and Futuna.
