The last update provided by the French Polynesian Department of Health on October 12 reveals a new Covid-19 related death. But no details were provided concerning this casualty.

It should also be noted that more 439 new cases were identified in the Fenua within the last 72 hours. And that a first Covid-19 case (a tourist from mainland France) has been detected on the island of Rurutu, in the Austral archipelago of French Polynesia, located 572 km south of Papeete.


Fritch tested positive

This weekend, the French Polynesia Presidency announced in a press release that Edouard Fritch has been tested positive for Covid-19 after a meeting with the french President Emmanuel Macron and Prime minister Jean Castex.
