Removal of curfew and outdoor masks.

New measures to ease health restrictions related to Covid came into force on 19 December.  The curfew between 11pm and 5am has been abolished.

From Monday 20, masks are no longer required outdoors, but are still necessary indoors. Individuals can once again go ashore on the islets.

New Caledonians over 65 years of age who want a health pass must have received a third dose of vaccine. These measures are valid until 30 January 2022. Measures valid until 30 January 2022.

The number of victims since 9 September is 280, but the hospital now has only four people in intensive care. The expected rebound of the virus has not happened, despite a slight increase in the number of cases. The big question is of course the omicron variant which has not yet been detected in New Caledonia.
