A week after the election of Miss Caledonia, the error in counting the votes has been rectified. So it was no longer Mathilda Lelong who was elected Miss Caledonia, but Emma Grousset (our photo). Mathilda Lelong, whose distress we can only imagine, came fourth. This affair caused a huge stir in New Caledonia. It also caused a stir in mainland France. Many major media outlets reported on the story. Emma Grousset will represent New Caledonia in the Miss France election in December. She is the sister of Maxime, who is a world champion swimmer.
